I think they were just saying that the APP for UF is built in, just like all the other apps for the services mentioned prior to UF.
I doubt Hisense incorporated any hardware/firmware from our NP-1 unit.
I'm assuming (not a technical wiz) that an 'App' is primarily an 'instruction-set'... similar to a mini operating-system, that can be downloaded and installed into a device (TV, mobile phone, etc.) via an internet connection.
