GeoTraq, Inc. (OTC:GTRQ), a development stage company focused on developing next-generation wireless location technology, announced the successful production of the World's First Cell-ID Module. A limited number of modules were produced for testing and certification purposes. A Cell-ID module is a "registration only" cellular module that does not support voice or data services but can register on almost every GSM Cellular Network in the World.

Due to the small size, low cost and low battery consumption of Cell-ID modules, location tags and tracking devices that use a Cell-ID module can be smaller, less expensive and operate over longer periods of time then those using traditional cellular modules.
The G-200 2G GSM Quad-Band Cell-ID Module is the first in a new generation of cellular transceiver modules that will allow wireless device integrators to design and manufacture Cell-ID enabled location products for the commercial, industrial and consumer markets.
