Dear DankMonty, First of all Baltia management

First of all Baltia management has traditionally only declared hard facts as each step is successfully accomplished. They have never given out public information that they couldn't support with documentation, and IMO that is a wise choice.
With regard to the waiting game you first have to understand how the FAA works regarding all applications and decisions. They examine every aspect of a decision and first assure themselves that they have covered every base to avoid criticism or the possibility of being challenged or even sued. Once that has been completed they then prepare a detailed report, signed by all responsible FAA personnel, that support their decision before delivering it to the applicant.
Keep in mind that this is a government agency with great responsibility that doesn't take anything lightly. Each signer at the FAA checks and re-checks everything before signing off on a decision.
In my opinion, having worked with the FAA, NASA and the Military, the longer we have to wait the better we will like the answer.
