"We’ve reached an inflexion point where businesses are demanding next generation cloud-based tools for managing content"
LOS ALTOS, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Box (NYSE:BOX) today announced that it was named a leader in “The Forrester Wave™: ECM Business Content Services, Q3 ’15” report. Of the 11 vendors that were evaluated by Forrester Research, Inc., Box received the highest score for its enterprise content management (ECM) strategy, with a 4.7 on a scale of 5.
Forrester cited Box’s cloud-based content platform as “often on the shortlist for secure and mobile content-sharing and document-centric collaboration use cases.” Forrester further cited Box’s “strong partner model” and “its representational state transfer (REST) APIs, handling billions of calls per month, [which] allow it to integrate broadly.” As such, Forrester also states that “the adoption of Box by large, regulated industries continues to grow.”
“We’ve reached an inflexion point where businesses are demanding next generation cloud-based tools for managing content,” said Whitney Bouck, senior vice president and general manager of enterprise at Box. “With our focus on building the best platform for enterprises to both manage and collaborate on content, it’s great to see Forrester places Box in the leaders category of a market that it estimates to be worth $9 billion in 2015.”
“Box’s iterative, cloud-based delivery model is a differentiator, allowing it to measure customer adoption of new capabilities and use these insights to steer clear of the feature bloat that has plagued ECM,” said the Forrester report. It stated that new Forrester Wave entrants “are investing in next-generation cloud platforms.”
