Guys as if there weren't already sufficient catalyst to propel NTEK to a blue sky breakout, some of us(including myself) continue to try and compare NTEK with nflx. I suppose because they've been king of the hill in film rentals for so many years. However, they've never really been profitable, losing millions each and every year. Furthermore, they are a subscription model only, NTEK is PPV/VOD.

nflx's pps is 100% dependent on continued subscriber growth. They're like government, the bigger they get the more money they need to sustain the business and they do that by adding subs. Yet at the same time, the quality of the service suffers and costs go up. The really bad part for nflx is there are more choices than ever for consumers. And if that's not enough, a large part of their business is dependent on the continued mailing of dvds through the post office. Unless they get a handle on the piracy issue that hit the news today, I think the post office and nflx will remain very close. So where would that leave 4K streaming? The word 'crippled' comes to mind.

Even before the piracy issue that is now plaguing nflx everything 4K simply takes a backseat to NTEK (except the made for series that they so far have done an excellent job with).

Now that nflx 4K version of Breaking Bad has been pirated what are they to do? I guess they just throw billions at the problem and hope some of it finds a solution.

Meanwhile, the perfect storm continues to brew for NTEK. Oh and guys, the shorts aren't stupid, when it becomes painfully apparent the jig is up they'll flip the heat and go long.
