china reportedly needs to create 13M jobs/yr to avoid civil unrest- a problem they helped create by pressuring people to leave family farms and join the urban labor force as as part of chinas attempts to transition from an export to a consumer driven model like all other developed nations
thats been hard because despite a 1 child policy since 1979-just 2 years after demigod "agriculture or bust cultural revolution" Mao's death-China's pop has continued to grow-inertia that will finally stop in a decade or so
their building boom caught up w them years ago -not in the last week-as evidenced by stories and pics of many ghost cities for years
and chinese wages have risen from a recent 6c/hour to more than Mexicos wages now-so Mex's wages have been lower for ca 2.5 years now despite most of their jobs stealing from usa on border factories-again a byproduct of big business profit at any cost reverse robinhood scheme
