My proprietary but obvious indicator is screaming at me with white noise.
We have the odd situation of formerly mega-bear posters at the old place claiming to be bullish -- and actually defending the science and the stock's valuation -- things which in their previous guise as bears, they ridiculed.
This puts them at odds with SunS (ss is also an abbreviation lots of people use for "short" -- a not-so-subtle hint from that one?)
My reading on this is that the baby bears who were bashing CTIX before the attack article have (along with their trading groups or employers, as the case may be) bought the positions they wanted at the low prices they helped achieve, and now want the stock to go up.
HOWEVER -- the grown-ups' cabal, represented by SS (who is a much better basher than the baby bears) still wants to see if they can push the stock back down.
This is a very different situation than we had back when I was calling the stock's direction quite accurately based on the number and virulence of bear posting. We now face the possibility of a falling out among thieves -- the baby bears are now positioned as born-again bulls, but the real big money and smarter cabal is against them. Then, we have the genuine bulls who are not going to sell. (But as we've seen, there are all kinds of strategies for the shorts that don't involve actually borrowing our shares.)
So -- an interesting day tomorrow. I don't particularly like popcorn but I've got my chips and salsa ready while I watch the show.
I'm not selling a single share, and will buy more it they whack it down.
