“Manufacturing” for Dummies - correcting misle

For those not familiar with current engineering and manufacturing practices, the process of manufacture of a particular branded end-product does not necessarily result from every single component being sourced from that one company in a single location. A good example would be the Volkswagen Group which uses components from over 100 locations in 27 countries. The brands of Audi, Volkswagen, Skoda and Seat all use common chassis platforms in particular size ranges, and to some extent, exactly the same engines and transmissions. The differentiators, with a huge effect on quality, brand perception and price, are in the body styles, quality of interiors, range of options, engine performance through tuning variations, suspension settings and so on to produce the distinctly different trademarked brands from the basic Skoda and Seat (primarily in Europe) through middle market Volkswagen to the luxury and sporting Audi.
In my opinion as an aeronautical engineering professional, from all my DD on DSUS, I believe the company's strategy is to differentiate itself by having the ability to offer customers a range of options that are not normally available in basic “amateur / hobby” drones, such as 2-operator control (pilot and systems operator), IR thermal imaging cameras, cargo release, terrain following, GPS, LED strobes, remote position landing etc - sourcing most components from partnership subsidiary companies - and "badge" the finished, fully integrated product from the final manufacturing facility with a mission-related trademarked name such as ProSearch, ProCargo etc.
As with special role military aircraft, the cost of the mission systems may be many times the cost of the basic aircraft – it is the final manufacturer / integrator of the overall “weapons system” that makes the difference rather than who produced the basic aircraft - and with drones it will be the manufacturer of the final Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) [FAA terminology] that will count. All that matters to shareholders and potential investors is the bottom line profit for each UAS sold to demanding clients for military and industrial / commercial grade applications – it is of no concern to them how the end product configuration is arrived at.
Drone Systems USA is building a brand and moving forward with implementation. I’m looking forward to the Shareholder Update on August 21 and excited for the days, weeks, months and years ahead.
