Hello everyone!
There is a lot going on at Bluebird, and we have some more exciting news to share with you. The three topics we want to catch you up on today are all regarding recent developments in South America.
First of all, Brazil, the largest country in South America, is now openly importing Hemp-CBD products from the USA and is offering to help subsidize the costs for its citizens. Not only that, but on the official documents (picture at bottom of page), Annex 1 on page 2 includes Bluebird Botanicals, which lists only a few examples of where Brazilians can purchase CBD products. With countless hemp-CBD companies now beginning operations, the Brazilian government has endorsed and judged Bluebird Botanicals to exemplify the gold standard for this industry.
Secondly, one of our attorneys is on a special two-week trip in Uruguay right now, consulting with the president himself, Jose Mujica, who is quickly becoming known as “the world’s humblest president.” Our attorney is there to help the president and his staff re-write the country’s marijuana and hemp laws.
Thirdly, a fairly large group of Costa Rican politicians and activists will be visiting Bluebird Botanicals at the end of September/beginning of October. The group who will be visiting us includes congressman Marvin Delgado Atencio, who co-wrote (along with our attorney) Costa Rica’s new marijuana laws that will be voted on in November, and one of his main advisors who’s been helping him form his ideas about hemp and marijuana for the last five years. Also present for this visit will be the president and other representatives of the Costa Rican chapter of LEAP (Law Enforcement Against Prohibition), the founder of the Marijuana Legalization Movement in Costa Rica, a reporter from Tico Times (the biggest English newspaper in Costa Rica), a reporter from La Nacion (the biggest Spanish newspaper in Costa Rica), and probably a few others yet to be confirmed. We’ll of course take pictures when they are here and let you all know how it goes!
We expect many other South American nations to follow in the footsteps of the aforementioned countries. Needless to say, this is a very exciting time for Bluebird Botanicals and cannabis supporters in general.
Until next time!
