We used to talk about that all the time -- supposedly putting a very very high "good till canceled" sell order prevents your shares from being loaned out. It's worth a try, certainly.

Of course, if they're naked shorting, they will just laugh because they're not borrowing shares anyway.

I think if all of us fill out the FINRA form it would be interesting to see if they'd actually investigate.
