The Proprietary but Obvious Indicator: I had a run of 6 days in a row on the other site, calling the next day's trading direction correctly. It was obvious to everyone, I hope, that what I was doing was gauging the number and virulence of the bears' posts. I'm really not exactly sure how I did it except that I was right so many times without posting it, that I decided to start posting it to mock the bears.
Then, on the 7th day, they suckered me by not posting on the evening before, and then piling in with hate speech in the hour before the markets opened the next day, and very aggressively through the day. The joke was on me!
Anyway -- has anyone noticed that the bears are pretty much not there any more, except for one that claims to be just trying to keep people "realistic" about the prospects scientifically? Those prospects, of course, being grim (when you're a bear trying to scare people, that is).
And that board is a lot quieter than it used to be. Of course, when you ban or restrict at least 4 of the regular posters, things are going to be quieter, but still -- where are the bears who used to just show up with inflammatory nastiness with no foundation of fact? Did someone douse them with Brilacidin-OM and their inflammatory statements got tamed?
Think about it, if you don't believe that there could possibly be a group of people trying to move the stock in a certain direction.
