I have not researched this, but on some other boards people have claimed that AQXP had some sort of financing or partnership deal with some big pharma, which supposedly sold a huge number of its shares into the madness.

With what we have seen with market manipulation, it would not be surprising to think that some giant company wanted to get rid of its stake at a huge profit, assisted by helpful market makers.

I doubt that those people who bought and held at high levels will see their money again any time soon. Although I think people had to be crazy to buy at those levels, I hope that they were day traders who got out quickly with relatively minor losses. It's hard to believe that an INVESTOR would buy when it was in the 30's, for instance, and even more unlikely when it was at 55.
