As far as Matt having enemies, here is my opinion:
1. Wall-Street Review - This website was originally designed to be similar to what ihub offers. I do not think the folks at ihub liked the fact that someone was creating a website that competed with them. This is especially apparent as Matt I believe attempted to have the BCAP board removed from ihub, due to the bashing, but they denied his request.
2. Brokerage/TA - There are lots of brokers and TA's and these folks do not want a new competitor. My understanding is that Matt wants to focus on the small cap markets, so in a sense BCAP would not be a direct competitor since many brokers don't allow people to purchase penny stocks (due to the clearance issues, DTCC). We are in fact creating a niche that most brokers don't fill.
3. Business in General - Businesses in general are always vulnerable to lawsuits. Matt had relationships with folks, but it is evident things didn't workout the way things were planned and folks don't take kindly to that. I used to work for a small business and the owner was sued by a former investor, since that person didn't understand the time it took to get the business up and running and just wanted the quick turn around profit. Eventually when the business started breaking even and was nearing becoming profitable that investor came back and sued the owner for non-sense reasons, but mainly he was bitter he left the business too soon and things were looking good and they weren't letting him back in.
4. Matt's communication style - He is very sarcastic and seems to upset those that try to communicate with him. His PR's and CC are very this is the company as is and doesn't sugar coat things. I feel investors don't like this style, because they don't want to see things delayed, they just want things done in the original timeframe.
5. Flippers hate longs - It is apparent that flippers hate stocks they can't flip, especially when the company has so much potential. BCAP would be easy money for them, but the fact that people are buying and holding upsets them. As people buy and hold, the float essentially shrinks since less shares are being traded.
Those are some of the reasons. Not sure how much you guys agree with them, but they are simply my opinion.
