Jerry has stated on FB that the leaf will never go away, and i support that. Big chains are good, but as someone on ihub pointed out, they make up 15% of sales, where mom and pops make up 62% getting into those stores covers all bases, but it is not the whole field. Redesigning the can just for these orders is all good, but for the majority of sales, the leaf will stay. I love the taste too, but things like V8, Snapple, and even Redbull didnt make it on taste alone. They were marketing campaigns. The leaf and its play on MJ will carry us far.
As for the starbucks thing. I had a coffee business and we used coffee that was ranked much higher than starbucks in taste, but people just wanted that paper cup, sleeve, plastic top- and again, thats because of a great,marketing campaign.
