For serious investors in HJOE - you should call SMS and discuss what is involved in being a dealer. It certainly isnt for everyone and it will take considerable work to build the business out of it but they also make that clear on the site and over the phone. More importantly, you will be able to decide for yourself whether this is a legitimate distribution/sales path. I have spoken to Don first hand and had a friend of mine from a different part of the country speak with him as well. I wanted to see if we got the same answers and how specific the plan, metrics, and data were. I am waiting on some follow up but so far - it has been very consistent and straight forward. Again, call yourself and have the conversation and them determine whether it is the right fit for HJOE and the right move for you as a shareholder in the future.
casey - i agree that a 20+ year relationship between the two adds significant credibility. i asked Don about how SMS started and specifically - the relationship with Tabasco. It was a fair question (and one someone should ask if considering a $25K + investment) and his answer made sense and was congruent with his background. I also asked how they came across HJOE and why they decided to branch out.
now i am waiting for the remaining news the company referenced prior to SMS details release. they said they had a series of announcements and on SM - they said SMS wasnt the big announcement and that they would address the financing side. eliminating the CD and getting traditional financing to me is the big news. i also want to see guidance updated. my assumption is if they have/are taking care of that debt - they would then accelerate getting current on the filing.
as far as stock price - the stock is still trading 8-10X where it started a couple of months ago and since then, they have started shipping product to Korea, entered into the SMS agreement, and still waiting on national retailer and financing. stronger position today. Less
