Equitas Resources Potentially Extending Major Nickel Sulphide
Post# of 10
The Voisey’s Bay was discovered in 1994 by Robert Friedland’s diamond fields and when the news spread 100’s flocked to St John’s Newfoundland to stake any land claim they could possibly get their hands on. During that time most of the region was fragmented into small land claims which didn’t allow the area to adequately and regionally get explored.
Equitas large Garland Property has one single drill hole recorded on it in 2008 by Vale (which runs the Voisey’s Bay mine site). Vale didn’t hit nickel mineralization but what they did hit was the same rock-host as the Voisey’s. Couple that up with the historic 10+ year old EM airborne survey that only could penetrate as deep as 75 meters and that’s when opportunity comes knocking. A neighboring world-class nickel deposit, knowledge of nickel sulphide deposits coming in clusters yet Voisey’s Bay is by itself, lack of regional exploration, historical exploration methods outdated and lack of depth.
