The U.S dollar held gains in Asia as investors looked toward higher interest rates from the Federal Reserve. In contrast, gold hit five-year lows mainly due to stagnated inflation at the global level. In addition to the dollar strengthening, Greek banks are scheduled to open as well. Strong U.S. data and continuing easement of global market burdens has pushed confidence in the normalizing of rates by the Fed to begin later this year.
With confidence boosting, investors have been seen taking more risk in the market and it has been most notably observed with the more highly volatile penny stocks. Golden Star Enterprises Ltd. (GSPT), FBEC Worldwide, Inc. (FBEC), Totally Hemp Crazy Inc. (THCZ) , and Rimrock Gold Corp. (RMRK) have all begun to see increased attention from investors in July.
Golden Star Enterprises Ltd. announced last week that the company had received a new shipment of North American drones for an online marketing campaign. They will be targeting the sale of their most popular drone models, which are suitable for average consumers as well as extreme sports enthusiasts. Volume has just begun to build more aggressively during the last week. Shares of Golden Star have risen from lows in June of $0.0295 to highs just last week of $0.0645 or roughly a 120% increase in share price over that period. The market is showing growth within the drone space to the tune of 19% over the next 5 years specifically for civilian use and moving away from being a mostly military market until recent.
FBEC Worldwide, Inc. is a company focused on hemp infused beverages. The release of its first product branded as Wolf Shot H.E.M.P. Energy is set for launch on August 1st of this year. Last week the Company announced that it will be planning to up-list the Company's stock to the OTCQB. With FBEC management anticipating the applications process to move smoothly, the share price has continued to climb over recent weeks. Since early May, the stock has moved up by as much as 3,400% from lows of $0.004 to highs of $0.14.
In addition to FBEC Worldwide, Totally Hemp Crazy Inc has also found itself vying for a piece of the hemp infused beverage industry. The company's Rocky Mountain High brand is different from FBEC's 2oz shot. It is more of a traditional "energy drink in a can." Friday the Company announced that it had filed their Annual Report which showed an increase in sales of 1,000%+ over the 3rd quarter sales. Jerry Grisaffi, Founder of THCZ, stated, "With International orders already placed and brisk domestic sales, we anticipate the current quarter's revenues will far exceed the last quarter. This is a very exciting time for the Company as we are experiencing explosive growth. We anticipate the current quarter to have record revenues that will build a 'Rocky Mountain High' solid foundation for the 2016 fiscal year."
Friday's trading also saw increased volume for several stocks. This included Rimrock Gold Corp, which traded more than 152 million shares. Since the early part of July, shares have increased from levels at $0.0003 to highs on Friday of $0.001. As of the last press release, the Company had announced that it would be implementing new and more advanced targeting concepts at its Ivanhoe Creek property in northern Nevada. Rimrock Gold Corp. controls the Ivanhoe Creek, Rimrock, West Silver Cloud, and also 100% interest in the large 11,480 acre Silver Cloud Property, subject to existing third party NSR royalties.
