SHOWTIME changing with advent of STREAMING custome

Just 10 days into its new STREAMING service, Showtime
is acting more like a responsive tech startup than an old
line TV network.
Showtime President David Nivens said,
"I'm able to see every morning how many we signed up last night," vs. his former monthly reports on subscription trends, he says.
While growth is encouraging, Nevins expects (as does HBO) that most subscriptions will keep coming from traditional cable/satellite connections. "But the tide is clearly changing to the
STREAMING MODEL" says Nivens.
