They didn't increase the AS to scam investors. That would make no sense at all. Most of the NTEK managers and board members are probably worth multiple millions and have reputations to maintain.
When companies need working capital to expand their business they increase the available shares. I think that they know what this will do to the short term share price, but I think they are thinking more long term to grow the business. Thats what managers do. The only other way I could think of would be to borrow money, probably at very unfavorable terms
I'm also thinking that they know whatever plans they have will offset short term share price and start moving it up. What they have going must be pretty big, IMHO or I don't think they would have done it. It's either an extremely reckless move or they have an extremely high level of confidence in what they have planned. I'm speculating on their high confidence level......
