It should be covered in the next financial report. However, they usually only report new shares and net proceeds of said shares. There is no requirement to identify the purpose of said proceeds. Some companies will include a brief explanation of the purpose if the shares were used as payment for some service or product. Otherwise, the most common reporting I have seen is a generic XXX shares sold to YYYY for $ZZZ. where YYYY is usually a reference to an individual, a vendor or other institution.
So, yes we find out more details, but, no, we may not find out the real motivation for the transaction.
