So the faster 4K studios can pump out the 4K transfers of new movies that were just in theaters the more time Ultraflix has to show them. The movie studio's usually like to send them to dvd ASAP. But with this new VOD service the studios may let the numbers rack up on rentals before even considering going to dvd for purchase. Because that to them is the end of the road.
Makes total $ sense to let the rentals play out before the final dvd purchase.
