Research and Markets (http://www.researchandmarkets.com/research/9d7qnj/liion_battery) has announced the addition of the "Li-ion Battery Market for AEVs in Japan 2015-2019" report to their offering. The Li-ion Battery market for AEVs in Japan to grow at a CAGR of 11.2% over the period 2014-2019. A li-ion battery is used as a power source in AEVs. In HEVs, it is used as an alternative source of power, and in BEVs and PHEVs, it is used as primary sources of power. BEVs and PHEVs use an electric motor for the engine propulsion, which is powered by a li-ion battery. The Li-ion Battery market for AEVs in Japan is segmented on the basis of the following: vehicle type (HEVs, PHEVs and BEVs) and demand (new demand and replacement demand). The application of li-ion battery is high in BEVs and PHEVs, because of its high energy density and long life span compared to other available rechargeable batteries. HEVs use both IC engine and electric motor for propulsion. The use of two fuel systems makes HEVs expensive, efficient, and preferred choice among end-users. In addition, the use of battery-operated vehicles helps to reduce carbon emissions and dependence on other fossil fuels. The battery used in AEVs is automatically charged during the transportation through regenerative braking mechanism and is completely refilled or recharge through various range of voltages from 110 volts to 440 volts power supply of residential or commercial charging socket. Research and Markets (http://www.researchandmarkets.com/research/3v92zb/global_tidal) has announced the addition of the "Global Tidal Energy Market 2014-2018" report to their offering. The Global Tidal Energy market to grow at a CAGR of 24% over the period 2013-2018 Tidal energy is a form of hydropower generation, which converts the energy from tides into electricity. A typical tidal power plant is run by an underwater turbine that rotates and converts mechanical power to electrical power. The electrical power thus produced is sent to the shore with the help of a generator. The commercial deployment of tidal power projects is in its nascent stage, although it has the potential for future power generation. The increased adoption of power generation from renewable energy is one of the major trends of the Global Tidal Energy market. Increase in adoption of environment-friendly technology for power generation significantly increases the growth of the market for tidal energy. According to the report, one of the main drivers of the Global Tidal Energy market is the upsurge in global power demand. The increase in energy demand worldwide led to the elevated use of tidal energy by several governments and vendors to reduce their dependency on fossil fuels. This in turn is expected to boost the market during the forecast period. Further, the report states that the large capital cost involved in the generation of electricity through tidal energy. The location of the power plant, for example, a location near the seabed, involves high capital cost and this increases the construction cost significantly.
