announced September 12 2014 using a different laboratory as well as a 1000 gram split from the reject in order to verify the results previously announced. The original assays, which were conducted on 250 gram splits, showed high variability at grades greater than approx. 0.1 ppm, therefore 1000 gram splits were used to reduce the effect that coarse gold might have on the results. While this second lab reported higher gold values on the higher grade sections of the mineralized intercepts previously reported, this did not result in a meaningful increase in the length or overall grade of the mineralized intervals previously reported.

The two holes reported today were drilled vertically to a depth of 39.3 m and 38.1 m respectively to determine the overall depth of gold mineralization identified in soil sampling conducted by MAX in 2013 that returned values ranging from 0.05 ppm to 1.5 ppm (1.5 g/t) Au in soils over an extensive surface area.

MAX Resource Corp. (TSX VENTURE: MXR)(OTCBB: MXROF)(FRANKFURT: M1D) has commenced drilling at its East Manhattan Wash gold project in Nevada. This eight hole (720 m) drill program will be the first known drilling to be conducted at East Manhattan Wash, where surface sampling by MAX has identified a soil anomaly exposed over a surface area in excess of 1,650 m by 450 m that returned values ranging from 0.05 ppm to 1.5 ppm (1.5 g/t) Au in soils. During an initial bulk sample conducted in 2009, MAX recovered 4.9 g/t Au and 1.2 g/t Ag from a 793 pound sample taken at surface. Mineralization appears to be free gold in a volcanic lithic welded tuff that will be drill tested to determine the overall depth of the gold mineralization, extend the known mineralization below the overburden and/or alluvium cover, and determine the overall grade.
