UltraFlix is now running the new 1.8 version on all platforms. This new version features many new enhancements to the network. Users don't need to do anything to get the update, it will load automatically the next time you open the app.
The new UltraFlix App includes several new features:
You now have the ability to purchase several selected titles. Several of our titles are now available for purchase with unlimited viewings in addition to 48 hour rentals
Improved connection speed logic. We have updated our CDN network and error detection technology, allowing for faster starts and smooth playback on slower network connections.
Ultra HD Blu-Ray quality streams available for customers with 100mbit/s. The updated encoding engine now can provide the same quality delivery over streaming as the upcoming Ultra HD Blu-Rays
Support for international postal codes
60FPS support on devices that can stream 4K at 60FP
Featured Device
A new MAC OS X version of UltraFlix is now available with support for the 5K iMac and other Apple computers with built-in retina displays. The app will only support devices with built-in displays due to security issues. CNET called the apple 5K iMac display "simply stunning." Winner of PCMAG's Editor's Choice award the 5K iMac combined with the award winning UltraFlix 4K Streaming Network provides OS X users with an unprecedented level of quality home entertainment.
