Once upon a time, I opened up an account with a different broker so I could buy into a total longshot of a company, basically a lottery shot at making some money. I knew it was a longshot, but I couldn't buy sub-penny stocks with my normal broker so I went ahead and created a new account. When I was doing this, I actually had the crazy thought to buy some "cheapies" of NTEK while I was there. I figured that could give me some spending money to do more investing. Well, those cheapies are now down 90%. Yeah I definitely got some extra income to invest off those. Turns out the longshot actually lost me less money than NTEK has so far.
