Nice dissertation on China (a little short for you but nice the same).
I was thinking that same statement could actually work for the good old USA. Even though China has the largest population in the world the USA is still the largest economy. It can easily make or break any startup.
How about a dissertation on the potential right here in our back yard? There are many medical centers and urban areas within driving distance of our headquarters. We would not need a distributor since we are close to the action and could distribute million of plates right out of our functioning facility. The Cleavland Clinic and UPMC are within hours of our base. There are even more countryside facilities within a few hours of our facility. You could be in the heartland in under a 10 hour drive.
Why are we not taking advantage of our backyard first? It seems that China is a far reach for a cash strapped company. Patents are very important for protection of our products. Keep locking in the patents around the world and in the mean time we need to make money here first to successfully expand around the world.
Intuitive Surgical did it one win at a time and we can do the same. ISRG got one FDA approval and started selling on that one approval with others pending. When they got the second FDA approval they started selling more as the third and forth procedure was going through FDA approval. One small win at a time in their back yard (USA), look at Intuitive Surgical now…
Look how easy USA fits into your well spoken post...
But in relation to the recent NanoLogix revelation about the grant of a patent in USA it is difficult to overemphasize the economic potential including licensing and joint ventures. USA is everything that Africa is not in relation to the adoption, need and use of the long life packaging technology.
Now transfer from that situation of what should happen in Africa (but won't) to that of USA. USA is vast and has extremely diverse conditions in the countryside. But unlike most of the African nations, USA has millions of educated people, a political organization, national and regional coordination, transportation and delivery systems, medical centers in cities and in rural areas, trained personnel and financial resources. In the non-urban rural areas particularly, there is an immense market for long-lasting test kits that can last for up to two years (at least) in moderate climatic conditions and still render accurate readings when needed.
