AMERICAS FIRST CANNABIS RESORT OPENS IN COLORADO
CannaCamp: A Bud+Breakfast Mountain Resort, Makes History
Denver, Colorado -- June 9, 2015 -- InvestorsHub NewsWire -- The MaryJane Group, Inc. (OTCQB-MJMJ) today debuts CannaCamp: A Bud+Breakfast Mountain Resorta 170-acre all-inclusive getaway in Durango, Colorado. Just south of the Rocky Mountains and near some of the states most beloved outdoor destinations, CannaCamp combines recreational marijuana use and education with a traditional ranch experience to create the countrys first-ever cannabis resort. CannaCamp is now accepting reservations for this years summer season, July 1 October 31.
A stay at CannaCamp includes accommodations in one of the propertys nine rustic yet well-appointed cabins, drinks including beer and wine and daily gourmet meals. Guests also enjoy unlimited access to equipment and guides for outdoor activities such as kayaking, paddle-boarding, fishing, hikes and mountain biking; plus arts and wellness classes like Canvas and Cannabis and Cannabis Yoga. The resort will also offer a variety of courses, workshops and interactive learning series focused on cannabis-related sciences, cultivation and pairings. Sessions will be led by a respected group of pharmacologic cannabis pioneers, wellness coaches, yogis, culinary wizards and dispensary owners. (All on-site cannabis education and activities were created by Cultivating Spirits, a well-respected company known industry-wide for its responsible and sophisticated approach to cannabis-themed experiences, tours and education.) CannaCamp also includes a heated outdoor swimming pool, nightly entertainment and recreational activities such as bocce, pontoon boats, horseshoes and volleyball.
For legal purposes, a stay at CannaCamp includes everything except the cannabis itself. Guests who wish to buy marijuana can turn to the propertys cannabis concierge, wholl provide a menu of recommended strains, plus suggested pairings with specific activities and meals. The retreat has exclusive partnerships with area dispensaries, which means guests enjoy special rates and private dispensary tours.
There truly is no place like this in the entire world, said Joel Schneider, CEO of The MaryJane Group and operator of CannaCamp. Were bringing an element of luxury to that adventurous, exploratory vibe of childhood summer campin a beautiful setting where visitors can enjoy marijuana in a safe, comfortable, social environment. And our offerings are extensive enough that even friends and companions who arent interested in the cannabis lifestyle will also enjoy this special retreat.
Many tourists are surprised to learn that, though recreational marijuana use is legal in Colorado, public consumption is illegal. Most hotels do not allow cannabis consumption. If they do, its in accordance with the Colorado Clean Air Actwhich states that 75 percent of rooms must be smoke-free, and smoking in public areas is prohibited. But thanks to its small number of rooms and secluded mountainside location, CannaCamp is able to allow marijuana consumption in all public areas. The resort does not allow smoking inside cabinsfor safety reasons, and also to encourage guests to experience the communal vibe in one of many public areas (including the pool, boats, smoking lounge, bonfire, activities room, restaurant and walking trails). Each guest has access to a private deck, where smoking is also allowed.
CannaCamp welcomes up to 40 guests at a time in one-, two- and three-bedroom cabin accommodations. The cabins include outdoor deck areas, refrigerators and coffee makers. Theyre nestled amongst pine, fir, spruce and aspen trees and within walking distance of pristine rivers and on-site ponds. Vallecito Lake, considered one of Colorados largest and most beautiful bodies of water, is a short trip via shuttles provided throughout the day. Visitors from out of state can fly into Durango or Montrose airport, where complimentary transportation to CannaCamp will be provided.
