When posters compare 4K streaming to BluRay, the are leaving out a lot of variables. The first is convenience. With streaming you can watch the movie without having to leave your house to rent or purchase it. Then there is price. You have to purchase the BluRay player and then buy the movie which is around $30. Of course there is Redbox, but then you can get hit with late charges and you still have to buy the player and leave your house to get the movie. Then there is the skipping with DVDs. At least with buffering, you can rewind and watch the scene again, but if your DVD is scratched the movie is ruined. Picture quality is not the only issue as the bashers will focus on. Streaming is the whole reason that Netflix changed its business model to focus on streaming rather than rentals.
