Artisan I understand what you're saying but I didn't word my recommendation properly. I basically meant that even with low trade volume, if it appears that day traders and shorters are dumping shares, the price can be ratcheted down very quickly even with relatively few trades. If there are lot's of trades it'll drop faster and farther. The point I was trying to make was is the "longs" keep scooping up more shares while the dumping takes place the stock will drop hard enough to spark a dumping frenzy, fed partially by panic selling and the rest by the reckless sellers smelling blood and accelerating their selling efforts. If you're long you might want to stop buying and wait them out. You might at least help slow the bleeding until the next significant press release.
