SAN DIEGO, June 17, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- OnTrac, the largest regional package delivery company in the United States, participated at the 5 th annual Yoga for Hope event that took place on Saturday, June 13, 2015 at Petco Park. This is the 5 th year of participation for the OnTrac “Delivering Hope” team. OnTrac increased its donation to $2500 to become a Karma Sponsor. The Yoga for Hope event benefits the City of Hope, which is a leading research and treatment center dedicated to the prevention treatment and cure of cancer.
The goal of Yoga for Hope is to bring awareness to the benefits of relaxation and well-being through gentle restorative yoga practices in combination with traditional treatments for patients with life-threatening illnesses. Nina Hegyi, OnTrac Corporate Account Manager, has led team “Delivering Hope” every year. Hegyi honors her mother through her practice since losing her to cancer. Hegyi shares, “Unfortunately most people have had their lives touched by cancer. The City of Hope, through research and treatment, helps so many families go from hopeless to hopeful.”
The event was held on the field at Petco Park in San Diego. Team “Delivering Hope” included ten participants who enjoyed yoga practices from four diverse instructors, shopping at the Yoga Marketplace and education on City of Hope programs. More than $100,000 has been raised since Yoga for Hope started in 2010. Since then, thousands of yogis have united in working together to bring awareness to the City of Hope.
