I've requested an update from TA on NTEK share structure because I think there may be no dilution, at least not like everyone is thinking. Taber, your update from Dan lends credence to what I'm thinking.
It seems hardly worth it to give away another 40% of the company for a penny pps or less unless NTEK is in real trouble. For what it's worth, I don't think that's the case at all. So, why raise the A/S? That's the million dollar question. Could be employee stock options but not likely going to need 400 million for that.
So what is it?
If NTEK truly has "the secret sauce", or whatever you want to call it, that everyone wants, it would be a drop in the bucket for many companies to just make a bid for company, ie. hostile take over. I still contend there is no way management would agree to any sort of a buyout now much less anywhere near these levels. So, in a preemptive move to protect the company and to stave off any potential shenanigans, management wisely raises the A/S but holds the shares out of the float for use in defensive measures if necessary.
Just a thought.
By the way, I'm pleased to see today's upload to UF, especially the Nvidia Shield gaming channel. It will be interesting to see how that works. BUT, not all the content that has been posted is complete. No doubt there is quite a bit ready for viewing but many of the titles are not ready to play yet. I have zero doubt they will be done in short order but I think management just threw us a bone. They're listening, folks. They're probably as frustrated as we are if not more so. I think this is essentially what they're saying, 'We told you we'd had many movies finished and ready to upload and here's where we are with it; not quite finished but now you have a crystal clear idea where we are at this moment with these companies'. I for one applaud this move!
The share price not withstanding today was a win for NTEK and a win for shareholders confidence! Keep it up NTEK, you just gave shareholders a shot of adrenaline.
