Stickie #1: NOBO Lists: Not sure what our favor
Post# of 11107
Not sure what our favorite educated beyond her intelligence basher for toxic financer husband and bro-in-law have published, but a NOBO list in not a crystal ball into the identity and account history of the listed shareholder.
For example:
If you opened your brokerage account when you lived at 666 Cassandra Drive but subsequently moved to 666 Malc Stone Blvd and neglected to update your address with your broker, the address listed on the NOBO list will be 666 Cassandra Drive.
Similarly, If your name was Cassandra Twit when you opened your account but you divorced and married (or just married or just got a wild hair and decided to change your name) and your name became Mrs. Talcolm Twit-Stone but you neglected to update your brokerage, your name will be listed as Cassandra Twit on the NOBO list. If you provide Cassandra Stone only, it will be difficult to find you since the search is typically done by last name and address.
OMG, if you went from Cassandra Twit to Mrs. Talcolm Stone now residing in Conway Arkansas but once lived on Cassandra Drive in Newport Beach, California or Steven, CT or Miriam, MT but moved to Pepe Avenue in San Antonio, TX., oh my how it can get confusing!
So, please bear in mind, if you've moved, married or otherwise changed your identity from the time you opened your brokerage, chances are you won't be found. There are 1250 shareholders on this list. It's not our job to conduct a genealogy report. If you feel you should certainly be on the NOBO and any of the above are applicable, please send all possibilities to assist with the pursuit.
NOBO's (and least this one) do not contain the following:
Brokerage (unless held in a 401 K)
Telephone number
The list includes first and last, address and share amount. THAT IS IT.
Thank you,
Kerry
