In continuation of its focus towards business to business, BlackBerry Ltd (NASDAQ:BBRY) (TSE:BB) took another step in that direction. Its subsidiaries, Certicom and QNX, are said to be jointly working to bring cryptography, as well as, entity authentication to the automobile industry. This would enable its customers to establish on-board electronic gadgets. That included the other operating systems. The manufacturers of automobiles could use its capabilities in concert with a security framework to influence the complete vehicle.
Alfred said that the security has been designed in such way that would meet the faster development cycles of connected cars right from the word go and not added them as an afterthought. He added that the company’s products platform established this.
