That 2017 Ford GT is going to be a wicked tough buy. I can live with the MSRP of $400,000 or so they are going to list it for. That is right in line with similar cars of build materials, hp, exclusivity, etc. But at just 250 cars to be made a year, you are going to have to know someone or have connections to Ford Motor Co. to buy one of these in the first few years.
Ford has not said how many years they will make this car. So the production totals are up in the air? Probably 6 years or 1500 models is my guess.
If you love this car, I am thinking the only way to own one, is to buy a used one, 6 months to a year after release date, but expect the car to then sell used for $600,000 in my humble opinion.
This car is not tops on my list, but it sure does make my drool list. Top on the list for me is the Lamborghini Aventador LP 750-4 SV. It just ran Nuberbring test track at 6:58, making it the second fastest production car around the track in under 7 minutes. The other car to do it under 7, was the Porsche 918, which has a dual hybrid electric motor setup, and it makes almost 900 hp. Nurberbring is also Porsche home test track, so they should know how to set up a car for this track better than any other manufacturer.
You may have money to enter, car rarities, that I don't even discuss, but yet would love to own. But even my Baltia dreams won't touch these cars. But your Baltia dreams just may. Think Ferrari F-40, F-50, Enzo, Pagani Huayra, or Pagani Zonda R, Koenigsegg Regera, Lamborghin Miura. Or of course any of the newest hybrids used, LeFerrari, 918, or the McLaren P1. Vintage Ferrari or Bugatti's!!
May all your dreams come true!
