Research and Markets (http://www.researchandmarkets.com/research/d2rd7t/global_and_china) has announced the addition of the "Global and China Wind Power Converter Industry Report, 2014-2018" report to their offering. As one of key components of a wind generating set, the wind power converter accounts for 17.9% of costs of wind power equipment automation products. It can optimize the operation of wind power system, improve the efficiency of wind turbine, reduce power loss, and raise utilization of wind energy. In 2014, the global installed wind power capacity increased by 47.3GW, up 33.9% from a year earlier. In particular, China contributed 17.7GW, a 9.6% rise year on year, ranking the world's first for five consecutive years. Driven by the resumption of offshore wind power projects in August 2013 and the State's support for wind power industry, the output value of China's wind power converter industry amounted to RMB5.8 billion in 2014, up 11.5% from a year earlier. The demand was 10,727 sets, rising by 14.7%, year on year. At present, the 1.5MW and 2MW wind power converters are widely used in the market, with the total demand for both accounting for more than 80%. In the future, as offshore wind power expands, the industry's R&D focus will be shifted to 5MW-10MW wind power converters. Now that China's wind power industry started relatively late, the domestic wind power converter market was monopolized by the foreign players like ABB, Emerson, and Siemens. In contrast, the Chinese enterprises such as Sungrow Power Supply, Hi-Tech Control, Zhuzhou CSR Times Electric occupied a mere 5% market share. Key Topics Covered: 1 Overview of Wind Power Converter 2 Global Wind Power Converter Industry 3 China Wind Power Converter Industry 4 Raw Materials Market 5 Wind Power Installation Market 6 World' Major Windpower Converter Companies 7 Key Chinese Windpower Converter Enterprises 8 Summary and Forecast Companies Mentioned - ABB - AMSC - Beijing Nego Automation Technology - Beijing Qingneng Harvest Wind Power Technology - China Longyuan Power Group Co., Ltd. - Corona - Daqo Group - Dongfang Hitachi - Emerson - GE Power Conversion - HRV Electric - Harbin Jiuzhou Electrical Co., Ltd. - Rongxin Power Electronic Co., Ltd. - Schneider - Shandong Xinfengguang Electronic Technology Development - Shanghai Hi-tech Control System Co., Ltd. - Shenzhen Clou Electronics Co., Ltd. - Shenzhen Hopewind Electric Co., Ltd. - Siemens - Sungrow Power Supply Co., Ltd. - The Switch - Vacon - Xuji Group Corporation - Zhuzhou CSR Times Electric Co., Ltd. Research and Markets (http://www.researchandmarkets.com/research/263b7q/china_wind_power) has announced the addition of the "China Wind Power Converter Industry Report, 2014-2016" report to their offering. China now has become the world's largest and the fastest-growing wind power generation market. In 2013, China had a cumulative 91.4GW of wind power capacity, of which 16.1GW was newly-added capacity, accounting for 46.1% of the world's newly installed capacity and ranking No. 1 globally. The surge in wind power installations has driven the development of China wind power converter market, which was worth around RMB 18.8 billion in 2013, soaring by 44.6% from a year earlier. As a core part of wind turbine, one set of wind power converter is needed to support one set of wind turbine. Calculated by installed capacity of 1.5MW for each set of wind turbine, about 10,726 sets of converters were needed in China in 2013, rising by 26.8% from a year earlier. China's wind power converter output has continued to increase along with the growing demand, arriving at 10,000 sets or so in 2013, up 23.5% year on year. Key Topics Covered: 1.
