For anyone who hasn’t followed Paper Prophet’s
Post# of 43064
1) He is personally obsessed with John Bordynuik, far beyond the “interested observer” status that he professes – not sure if he has sought professional help or not, but it can become uncomfortable, for the reader, after a while. Beware.
2) He claims that PTOI and the leadership team (both former and current) are components of an OTC scam, similar to thousands of others that he’s watched implode over the years, with no product, no viable business plan, and whose CEOs are liars, cheats, and frauds. He makes these claims despite the facts that he has never been to the plant, never seen the processor work, and in general doesn’t know anything about PTOI or its operations. He has actually admitted to these facts, right here on this board.
3) He supports these claims with a theory that stands in stark contrast to established facts, industry publications, and an increasing amount of mainstream press coverage to the contrary.

Faustus wants me to contact everyone in the world *except* PTOI.
A quick review of our posting histories will reveal that I suggested that he contact some professional organizations that actually have experience in the industry (the American Chemistry Council, O’Brien & Gere) and share with them his theory on why pyrolysis of waste stream plastic doesn’t pencil out, and to share the results of those conversations with us here, as corroboration of his theory. As far as I can tell, he has neither called them nor shared his results with us – but he is always eager to encourage us to ask them his questions. Rational people would wonder why he wouldn’t jump at the chance to have actual professionals substantiate his theory – but I’m sure he’ll get around to it.

Hiring OBG is just recycling the same old tactics used when PTOI hired SAIC to provide validation a few years ago.
Here he is referring to an actual document that was produced by SAIC that detailed a run of the company’s 2nd generation processor, I believe, and offered some extrapolated numbers. I don’t recall the company actually stating that they hired OBG to provide validation, but it’s possible that they did. Someone with more info than I have might be able to add detail here. Of course, Paper Prophet could certainly clear that up as well while he’s on the phone with them explaining his theory. Regardless, rational readers might agree that a 3rd generation processor would deserve a validation of its own capabilities, since it is, in fact, new.

Engineering from OBG??--PTOI supposedly already has their "flagship."
I think he’s suggesting here that the management team at PTOI, in addition to creating, assembling, developing, and testing the processor, is also supposed to know exactly how to adapt their processor to very specific (and diverse) customers’ needs, locations, and feedstocks, and also know of all the potential customers and industries that the processor could be used by.
Quote:
Validation from OBG??--PTOI simply has to run the processor, write down the direct costs and the corresponding plastic-derived fuel sale revenues and then compare those two numbers. That's all the validation anyone needs--no third party required.
Here I think he is suggesting that any potential buyer of a multi-million dollar processor should be able to simply accept internally produced documents by PTOI that say that the processor works as advertised – although the earlier review of his posting history would have also revealed that one of his main objections is actually the lack of validation of the process, or the processor, by anyone other than the company. Rational readers might expect that he would be delighted that OBG might perform such a task – but then again, Paper Prophet is a complicated persona, and difficult to follow - especially for those of us here with thick skulls.
All sides should be read with a healthy dose of skepticism, especially here, where motivations do indeed matter.
