VEGAS PINBALL
There's an operational cost but the machine is not being sold it will be operated using revenue-sharing and owned by Nanotech Gaming. It's not the typical model per slot machine sold, but it is a fairly common model per dollar earned for large manufacturers, such as IGT. Those who think the profits made per machine for a manufacturer are limited to ratio of a sales price should look at the revenue generated by IGT's revenue sharing model. We are going through consolidation for a reason, and a big part of that reason is that manufacturers have been suffering for years from what is referred to as the "declining slot replacement cycle." -- as a general rule, every time you see a news story like this http://finance.yahoo.com/news/igt-mints-two-m...00562.html -- realize that the company, on average, profits as much as the winner in the story. The government profits about 2/3 as much (once by taxing player 1/3, once by taxing IGT 1/3). -- http://wizardofodds.com/games/slots/megabucks -- the problem is that to have "life changing winnings" as the player, you are giving up well over half of your wins if you are lucky enough to win $1,000,000, for a bet of that probability paying off without a cost, you'd have won more than double that amount (sans taxes and house edge). That makes this model more like a lottery style model (half goes to gambling, half goes to the folks operating the system) to have "life changing winnings." With Vegas 2047, you can achieve life changing revenue by achieving an advantage in the math department through skilled play. It's apples and oranges on the mechanics, but the model of sharing with the manufacturers and the government is something that is not limited to an exclusive group of a couple hundred people in the history of the game. In fact, with Vegas 2047, it's even possible for more than half of the players to be lifetime winners with rich enough losers to support them all! It will take a while for folks to understand all of the dynamics of the game and revenue model, but we are definitely excited about where things are headed now that skilled arcade gameplay can be married with gambling and regulated in the best place in the world to place gigantic sized wagers. VEGAS!
