Probably 2 reasons-Doubloon has mentioned something similar to fossil fuel co's buying renewable tech just to shut it down -
plus even if big boys were not protecting their back sides via your last paragraph they would be sharks and try to wrest control,which Doubloon has also mentioned
so here David gets to keep control
