I Googled Hawaiian Airlines emergency landing at San Jose airport and there is a picture of a plane with either 3 or 4 chutes deployed and people orderly walking away from the plane. Not sure what the "pop" could have been? The article said that the landing gear sounded odd as it was being retracted after take off, like the motor that makes it move kept running after the gear was retracted. There was the smell of smoke and some in the cabin, I guess. Clearly, the successful deployment of the chutes is a critical safety concern. Let's get ours wrapped up this week and move forward.
