The Samsung S6 takes 4k video (3,480 x 2,160 pixels) at 30 frames per second. Samsung predicts 70 million units to be sold in 2015. I think the adaption of 4k is already hitting the mainstream, it will become the standard screen resolution on phones, tablets, and TVs. Simply a matter of time.
