Once 4k Starts, Everything will have it! Just like 1080P!
You remember when that happened, once you get a 1080p anything, every other display looked bad. And with how quickly technology moves Today...
People are not going to want to buy something new that is not 4k, because it could become obsolete or not able to use certain programs so quick!
Think about with the size of screens, touch screens, 4K being adopted universally will be the best thing for everyone, then you can play any video or picture, file game, whatever on all devices, Including the New Huge 100 inch or 65 Inch TV's/Computer Monitors!
The difference is EXTREMELY NOTICEABLE on BIG SCREENS!
