I think phones will go to 4k, but it may be a couple years yet. Sharp already has a phone supposed to release next year that will be 4k. A lot of people probably said phones will never be 1080p. As everything we watch becomes more and more 4k people will want that resolution on their phone, even if it doesn't make a lot of practical sense. The mobile and tablet market is also highly competitive. The iPhone 6 can currently capture 4k video with the appropriate app. Also, as the 4k TV market grows the demand for mobile devices that can capture and display the similar resolution. Also, with the adaption of 5g mobile network 4k playback will be very easily handled from a network speed standpoint. I think we will see a couple phones in 2016, but several in 2017.
