Like the buzz about them 80 movies they are going to get. That "moran" pumper krisandtilly has already calculated that it will bring $2.8 mln revenue just for remastering them into 4k by 4k studios. LOL
They don't have a clue, and it's pure wishfull thinking. And they all eat this sh....
That $30k is for scanning 35mm film without manual corrections. Many films are already digitised (f.e. all those available on blu-ray are HD). These need only upscaling, and the NTEK magic touch.
It's not even clear who pays for the conversion. It might as well be on NTEKs charge as part of the licensing. Who knows.
That might even be the reason why Interstellar and GI Joe were not scanned into 4k, but simply upscaled from HD. Saves a few bucks no doubt, and who really takes notice that they are not really 4k.
