THE SHOW
The Next Dragon is an action/adventure reality show that challenges its contestants and educates them and the audience about what it takes to work in the stunt and martial arts industry. The contestants will compete against one another each week as they learn new skills and are pushed further and further out of their comfort zone. By the end of the competition one competitor will emerge as The Next Dragon, prepared to follow in the footsteps of other well known martial arts legends such as Bruce Lee, Jackie Chan, Chuck Norris, etc.
Some highlights of the show:
•The show will be ACTION oriented and involve the contestants in sparring in various fight styles as well as other physical challenges.
• The contestants will learn about various fight styles as well as specific stunt types and then be asked to perform for the audience.
• The show will prepare the final contestant for a career in the film industry as a stuntman or stuntwoman and ultimately an action-type leading actor/actress such as Bruce Lee.
• The Next Dragon will have the integrity, charm, heart and dramatic entertainment values that are found in other influential shows such as Survivor, The Amazing Race, Top Chef and Dancing with the Stars.
• Our audience will learn how various Hollywood stunts are performed and then they will get the chance to watch our competitors attempt the same feat.
• The show will not be focused only on action. Part of being a martial artist is developing the principles of a warrior. These principles are honor, respect, discipline, tradition, determination and passion.
• The show will feature guest judges from the entertainment industry as well as experts in various Martial Arts disciplines. The audience can expect to see names such as Chuck Norris, Robert Rodriguez, Jackie Chan and many others who will bring name recognition to the show and provide an immediate connection with the audience.
• The contestant who emerges as The Next Dragon will receive $100,000 as a reward in addition to representation by a leading talent agency.

Host Rudy Reyes brings an extensive background in the fitness industry and martial arts but is perhaps best known for his role in the acclaimed HBO drama Generation Kill. Rudy brings an extensive background of real world Martial Arts knowledge as well as the charisma and presence necessary to connect with the audience.
