Johnson Controls reports double-digit profitability improvement in 2015 second quarter

For the second quarter of fiscal 2015, Johnson Controls, Inc., (NYSE: JCI) a global multi-industrial company, reported net income of $529 million, or $0.80 per share, on $9.2 billion in revenues. Excluding transaction / integration costs and non-recurring items, the Company said that diluted earnings per share in the 2015 quarter were $0.77, up 17 percent compared with $0.66 in the same quarter last year. As a result of the previously announced sale of its Global Workplace Solutions (GWS) business, the Company has reclassified GWS results to discontinued operations and prior year financial statements have been revised accordingly.
