Right on, Mr. Billionaire. I made the same mistake and it cost me $30,000 so far. I sold a portion when the CE came on, but ended up chasing the price down until the sell order could be executed. Then when the price hit the low I tried to buy it back and chased the price up to almost twice of what I sold it for. So in essence, I lost half of my share total trying to sell during bad news and buy during good news. And now I am $30,000 behind where I could have been. Yup, sad in deed.
So I learned my lesson also. If you want to take your profits and get out, then get out. If you want to play the timing game and try to squeeze out a few more shares by selling and buying back, then good luck; because it's not easy to time it, especially when the brokers are overwhlemed with large quantities of orders they can't process.
I learn my lesson, like so many other seasoned investors on here, that it is better to buy incrementally and stay for the long haul. You end up much farther ahead in the long run, with a lot less risk.
