Achaogen to Present at 14th Annual Needham Healthcare Conference

Achaogen, Inc. (Nasdaq:AKAO), a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company developing novel antibacterials to treat multi-drug resistant (MDR) gram-negative infections, announced today that it will present at the 14th Annual Needham Healthcare Conference in New York, New York. Dr. Kenneth Hillan, Chief Executive Officer, will provide an update on the development plan for their lead program, plazomicin, which in addition to its ongoing Phase 3 trial in carbapenem-resistant Enterobacteriaceae (CRE), now includes a Phase 3 study in complicated urinary tract infections (cUTI) that Achaogen expects to serve as a pivotal study to support the filing of a New Drug Application with the US Food and Drug Administration. The presentation will take place on Wednesday, April 15th at 10:40 a.m. Eastern Time, at the Westin NY Grand Central Hotel.
