most of the ore was still there I guess as of Oct 1-except for a small amount of fert that might have been sold, should still have ca 130k tons 55.42-55.92% fert and ca 65k tons 58% byproduct sinter fines (reported as of june 2012), plus whatever regular ore that didnt ship on Ilia or get sold internally in Mexico
I think hes waiting for ore price to rise considerably- but thats not likely to happen anytime soon
in the meantime he no doubt has returned rented/leased equipment and either sold or moved some other equip to possibly Navial's storage yard just across the border near San Diego
while longterm solutions are sought- including beneficiation
I originally thought absence of activity Oct 1- Leross/rkc visit- was due to an unprecedented series of storms I chronicled/posted- leaving over 2" rain in ca 3 weeks- a lot when the mine probably only gets ca 7- 8"/ year
but it increasingly looks like it may have been mothballed due to low prices and or other events.
