I completely disagree. Ignoring the bashers is what they want you to do. They want to wear you out so their lies can stay out there. Ignoring a problem won't make it go away.
Message boards certainly have an effect on OTC stocks and not all investors are as informed as some of you gentlemen. When a new/potential investor comes to the board and most of what they see is negative...it has an impact.
Rather folks should make investment decisions based on what they read on a board is another topic; but it does have an effect.
