Just prior to the plant going down, Mr. Heddle clearly communicated that the plant was ramping up with it's newest and greatest "flagship" processor. Mr. Heddle clearly wanted to communicate a story and wanted investors to keep believing a story which was materially different from reality. Investors were purposefully left believing that production was ramping up to cash flow positive from operations...while in reality all operations had ceased.
If a company pinky swears to keep investors informed...who would expect that they would instead hide something that big?? I suspect investors are so used to being lied to and disrespected by the company that they don't even bat an eye when it happens anymore.
